Award — Best Live Event Coverage
Who we designed content for
Local families & visitors “What’s on today?”, tickets, venue wayfinding, River of Light tie-ins.
Gymnastics fans worldwide Fast highlights, medal updates, athlete POVs, federation partnerships.
Clubs & talent pathway Skills explained, young-fan inspiration, shareable routines.
The challenge
Deliver real-time storytelling across a full world championship — rights complexity, multiple federations, daily sell-through targets, and a city-wide cultural programme to integrate.
Ops at scale
- Daily content sprints: capture → edit → publish → measure.
- Live schedule & session updates tailored to local vs international audiences.
- Federation relationships to unlock **exclusive access** with star athletes.
- Crisis management protocols for athlete/news moments.
Our approach (4S for championships)
Share Seed highlights and stories into fan subs, clubs, and federation channels.
Support Clear “today at the Champs”, ticket CTAs, wayfinding, broadcaster info.
Smile Podium emotion (Andrade!), volunteer thank-yous, city pride.
Show Arena transformations, routines, medal table updates with crisp graphics.

My role
I led the entire digital operation end-to-end — managing agencies, building federation relationships for exclusive content, shooting with athletes, running crisis comms, and aligning daily outputs to ticketing and schedule priorities. I also negotiated **first-ever event livestreams** to nations without a broadcaster and successfully renegotiated digital rights with the **BBC** so we could use more of what had been under-utilised — unlocking performance at critical moments.
